[Solved] How to get back to XFCE after hijack by KDE 4.6.1?
« on: March 12, 2011, 02:51:39 AM »
Just did the big update and I was aware of the KDE 4.6.1 thing, but I did not realise it would remove/overwrite/displace my XFCE desktop.

So the simple question is, which has not been addressed in the many threads I've read on the subject, how to revert to my previous XFCE desktop?

Logout from your running session. Then at the login screen insert username and password and at the bottom choose Session Type -> XFCE, then press Login

Thanks, pinoc, that fixed it.

I really should have known that, but because I did the Phoenix install from scratch, I've never actually had to choose XFCE as the DE.
