the results are none, you know that one of the rules on this forum is be patient?

we, the members of this forum are volunteers using our free time to help other users as much as we can

i haven't had time to test the themes and you didn't gave the links for the themes and the basic theme here, the default one blue or red works well

i just took 5 minutes form my study time to answer you:

just tested fogo and i don't see the problem

i don't have beryl default(deleted it thinking i won't use it again) but i tested slatehorn(very similar to beryl default) and works well

it seems that all the themes you mentioned used vrunner as engine and all of them work well here, in fact i used all of the types of engines and all worked well on my very old hardware

is it possible that you changed something in your video card creating this problem?

ave you changed the video driver?

hardware specs could help here

Maybe the person who codes smaragd needs to update his program so that feature works in KDE 4.6.1.  The last update of this program was Sep 26 2010.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

same video-card NVidia GS8600M
same video-drivers 260.19.36
only upgraded from 4.5.5 to 4.6.1

Tested slatehorn--------->no blur

All themes work but emerald themes just won't blur anymore

waiting patiently for your reply

a big correction, i was confusing opacity with blur, i didn't had blur enabled

when i tried to enable my intel gma 3150 suicided itself, same for my ati 9200, this option requires abig video card and a big cpu

while it was dying i couldn't see any blur on the transparent borders or in any other surface, not sure what else to search, hope this confirms your problem

Bug reported. When it is fixed, I will add the blur property to Smaragd to make it work.
