Online Backup for Phoenix
« on: March 02, 2011, 06:22:42 AM »
Anyone have a suggestion for an online backup solution that will fit nicely in Phoenix?

I am hoping for a solution that will not cost more than $100.00 a year.

I'll probably store between 20gb to 50gb in it. Mostly our pictures, home videos, important documents,my home directory, etc.

My youngest child is 23 years old and I have videos of her as a child I had converted to a digital format. I would like to keep stuff like that available if my drive fails.

I don't want something heavy. Phoenix is lite and I would like something lite to match the OS.

Dropbox     50gb $99 US per year
Spideroak   100gb $100 US per year

Both in the repos, spideroak feels heavier but includes encryption

I've no complaints with either of them

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at Spideroak because it includes encryption.

I never heard of it so I was wondering if anyone had used it.

I didn't know it was already in the repos.

Thanks for the info. I will have to research it a bit further, but I am definitely leaning towards it.

Thanks again!
