If you have purchased a Logitech Wireless Headset & Microphone. Just a little tip, not rocket science though. If so you will now it has a USB wireless transmitter dongle. If the USB transmitter (looks like a little usb flash drive with blinking light) is not plugged into the you will find in >Kmix>mixer, that the PCM Volume adjuster has dissapeared. I kept shutting down, plugging it back in, reboot and the volume adjustment would be there again. Even if the headset itself is switched off, the wireless mic and volume are still there. Simply plug the USB transmitter dongle back in. It will reappear as normal. No need to reboot or muck about with kmix. With the computer on, up and running with the headset switched off, the transmitter continually is flashing an amber light. Seems to do it no harm leaving it in that state until you need to switch on the headset. All working well. Have tested with another member on Skype. Walked approximately, 15 to 17 meters away from the transmitter, he said sound- send and receive was very good quality. Also very handy if you happen to be a smoker and not supposed to be smoking inside your computer room when the wife is home!! Especially if she is a reformed smoker! Two tips in 1 i guess! Also on Skype land line calls the people on the other end say they can pick no difference. Sounds like a normal land line call. Good quality. Maay help some one i hope.
Cheers , Wayne.
