sane-backend update
« on: February 27, 2011, 10:10:21 AM »
I have a Canon Lide200 scanner because of it's very small profile and I travel incessantly. The sane-backend in the repository is 1.0.21 and is nearly one year old.It does not support Lide200.
The newer sane-backend, 1.0.22 does support it.
I have tried to compile but get errors about the libusb.la directory or something to that effect.
I have all the updates but have made no progress. Has anypne been able to compile. Surely I cannot be the only one that needs support that is less than one year behind.

I currently operate the scanner with virtualbox and an XP client. It works OK but the scanner programs under windows are unwieldy, to be polite about it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Walter
