older pc and pandora

Hi,

I'm running an older PC (P4 -2.26Ghz) with about 2 gigs of ram. Most of my programs work fine and the things I use it for, email, basic browsing, writing latex, works great. However, when I try to use pandora, it basically hogs up the whole cpu and slows my system down. I've tried different desktops (E17, lxde, etc) with not much success. Anyone have any suggestions? Alternatives?

there is other posts mentioning pandora internet radio on this forum, nothing that helps you?
