realtek rtl8191seva wifi not working
« on: February 23, 2011, 01:25:47 PM »
I have a Compaq laptop with  Realtek rtl8192seva wifi, and cannot get it to work.
I don't know if it is a wifi switch problem, the card or both. DKMS rtl81xx is loaded from synaptic.
In some kernels, the hardware shows up, but no wifi signal is seen. In other kernels, the hardware does not even show up in PCC.

Has anyone gotten this card to work?

How do I use indiswrapper. The unit dual boots into windows 7 where wifi is ok.
The switch is a Fn f12 key.
Thanks!
