Installed E17 a few days ago on an old dell i rebuilt and got "This is very bad...SEGV..d" after the update finished.
Had to hard reboot and everything seems ok.

I have a question about E17...
What mailclient do the most users prefer in E17 ? I prefer Evolution...
Using Firefox as my browser ? Can i use this one ?
I ask that before i give it another try if i am ready with my computer. ( A test computer, must use my other with KDE, that i now it works stable )
For the rest i see.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

e17 is very compatible, firefox works well, opera should work too

you can use the same apps afik

e17 is friendly with other desktops, other desktops are friendly with e17, you can use e17 apps in kde4

e17 is a desktop environment written in etk, which goes well with both gtk as qt apps.
Same for running gnome apps in kde or kde apps in gnome you can use any app you like in e17. :)
