Problem with Wired Ethernet: BCM5788 Adapter
« on: February 21, 2011, 09:01:48 PM »
I've set up a machine (HP 2133 netbook) using pclinuxos-gnome-2010.12.  I seem to remember it working with earlier versions of PCLinuxOS 2010.

The video and wireless are working great, but I can't get a network connection on the wired interface (a BCM5788 adapter).  Though, it's assigning "eth1" to the wireless adapter and not "wlan0"

The preferred tg3 module is loading, but I'm still not getting an IP address via DHCP (or via static address).

/var/log/messages doesn't show any informative errors.

I've used "noapic" and "acpi=off" as boot parameters, but it doesn't help.

TIA
