The iso I downloaded has the filename

pclinuxos-enlightenment-light-2010.12.iso

I initially did not update properly, but once I realised why I was not seeing any updates replaces the sources list as instructed and updated (properly, right?). I also added megagames but had to remove it to get the localisation program to run.

Either you added the megagames repo in a wrong way or you use the outdated 3.7 version of addlocale, version 3.8 should work fine with the megagames repo enabled. If not let me know.

I just tried addlocale with megagames enabled and it works  now. I also checked that Synaptic says I have version 3.8 installed.

I still get the error message on login after using addlocale to add en_G, then again after  changiing back to the default.
