Romanian mirror is back, added original post accordingly. I will do an updated apt-sources-list package in about a week where the most recent mirrors will be added; there are another 2 mirrors which have not responded so far...

You do lots of "stuff" pinoc. Thank you.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Thanks Pinoc for all the Synaptic repo information mate. Very helpful, especially to many of us who are using the Aussie mirrors. I will give internode a try again. Often, when using the "fastest apt site tool" (came as part of the ISO a while back), it would give you the list of fastest but sometimes the fastest would not necessarily give you a site which could give all the package lists.

Unfortunately, when I follow update method 2 -- which includes changing my system's kde4 to kde (manually), it wipes all the programs from my application launcher and when I reload both the root and user login functions are unavailable, too.

Looking around I've noticed a difference between the sections referenced in my repositories, and the ones shown as a model.

Mine are:
main updates nonfree kde4 games

The model ones are:
main updates nonfree kde games xfce4

Unfortunately, my level of understanding is at a basic level.

Any suggestions??

Hi Myakka1, just to make sure we're on the same page, could you please just verify you are referring to:

"Original Post" of course being; Page 1 of this thread:
http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,87378.0.html

Plus, do you know what version of KDE you are using ?

Click on the 'PC' icon, far left at bottom of your screen, which will open your Menu.

Go to, System, then select "Info Centre", which will take you to KInfoCenter.

Look to the right of the KInfoCenter page to see what version of KDE is running on your System.

Thankyou.

Just 'Do nothing further please', as a answer to your problem will be forthcoming soon.  :)

Speaking of problems updating, ...  ;)

I have installed apt-sources-list-1_0_4pclos2013, after updating the sources.list manually before its release. Haven't bothered adding other server updates past that to sources.list as felt it will happen eventually, and Dutch server has not had a problem..

Using: rpm http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/pclinuxos/ megagames megagames

rpm http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/pclinuxos/pclinuxos/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 main updates nonfree kde games xfce4

Today I'm get a message that I have updates, but I have a broken package.  ???
Never had this situation, maybe it is the Dutch Mirror waiting on a Dependency of the three updates wanting to install ?
No Idea.

I updated fully my sources.list.

All occured just as in previous post, will try some other servers; hate killing Synaptic when it wants to try installing, but obviously can't. Enough, ... dinner now, cheers.

Packages that cannot be installed:

The eigen3 package is broken, so uncheck it, and the rest will upgrade.
