None are any good on a lot of Dell machines ..... they do not give anything access to temps apparently. I seem to have one of those Dell PCs

The good news is that I have just received (tonight) a 'dumped' Dell XPS ..... Core 2 Quad processor @ 2.6 Ghz with 4 GB ram (I think one stick is faulty). It was dumped thinking the motherboard was faulty ...... but it now runs PCLOS from a USB stick

This Dell can even be overclocked!
I have yet to get into it properly to see what it really has .... but I think it is a XPS 710 or 720
Looks like I have my new machine for this year

Maybe I will be even able to read the temps on this one!
So my upgrade intentions are postponed indefinitely
