install virtualbox guest additions and you will be able to set the resolution of virtualized system to that of virtualbox window.

Forgot to mention that I checked this link and the info is much the same as the link I found. Seems to be a well-known fault.
I'm about to reinstall and will install guest additions and make the alteration in the registry before rebooting, as you suggest. That should solve both the
blue screen and i
ntelppm.sys problems
