I asked Eric (Weric) to install PcLinuxOS with KDE plus other DEs (XFCE, LXDE, Gnome, E17) and add 2 Gigs of Ram (to give me 4 gigs total). He partitioned the drive and made it dual boot. I continue to Windows for the family business. However, the lion's share of the drive is dedicated to PCLinuxOS.

Now, there is a slight hold up in getting a full KDE desktop to work. Currently, KDE's 3D desktop does not work. Compiz will not work, either. Eric believes it needs a driver which is not yet available for this hardware. A bit too new, I guess. So, hopefully, this will change.
I went with the i3 core processor due to cost. It should have enough performance for me.
It arrived today at noon. I haven't had a chance to fire it up just yet. Gotta clear away some paperwork, etc. I'll probably do so tonight and also get sources.list updated to current. But, Eric reports that this notebook is fast and quite snappy!:) And he tells me it looks great running PCLinuxOS.
