install stops at udevd 548 specified group PCSCD unknow. What does that mean?

please post more info

including pc specs, the livecd you downloaded and if you did a md5checksum of the iso you downloaded

I have dl pcl 2010.01 full monty.It installed on my computer with asus mb intel cpu also on asus mb amd cpu.The third computer  witch has the same amd mb has the problem.I have tried all options available on the live cd.Both amd computers have the same hardware.I hope this helps some.

I think PCSCD stands for "PC Smart Card Daemon" which provides access to the device. So the process for some reason doesn't find the group dedicated to that daemon. But it seems to me installation should forward with this error existing. :-\

Did you do md5sum check of the downloaded *.iso file? Did you use "Check media" option at LiveCD boot?

How do you install - via CD? Did you burn the image at the lowest speed?
