e17 lock screen

okay i dont get this one but
when i lock my screen then type my password which i know i ma typing correctly
wont authenticate its like forever stuck so i have to hit ctl alt baackspace to go back to gdm and relogin this is frustrating what is going on??  oh yah lol if i put in the wrong password it tell me really quick that its wrong. just hangs on authenticating the correct password.

Same with me. Except it won't even react to ctrl-alt-bkspace.
