Hi Aradalf,

What's up with the tux* packages ? I'm looking forward for your progress, hoping to build the next Edu RC4 just after you fix them ! :)

Yes, I'm working on them. I'm working on Gamine currently, have to fix it. ;)

I fixed Gamine, and have uploaded it to the SRPMs folder. ;D Starting work on fixing tuxwordsmith.

Hi,

Just tried Gamine. Some things still need fix.

It doesn't start from menus. I tried to change it's desktop menu with a few additional lines found elsewhere, but no success, the problem doesn't seem to come from there.

I looked into pcmanfm applications section, and when I do a right-click/open on the icon I get this message : "L'exécution du processus fils « /usr/local/bin/gamine e» a échoué (Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type)". Something looks for it in /usr/local/bin. (why ?)

When I start from the console, it works and it now has the sound. Progress !

But no pencil, and the console output states :
Quote
$ gamine
*** error: /usr/share/gamine/pencil.png does not exists***
*** error: /usr/share/gamine/gamine.png does not exists***

I saw the pencil.png image at the root of the sources archive the other day. Don't you want the pencil to be included ? :)

Regards,
Mélodie

Some nice person removed my Broken Packages thread. I never noticed it till last night.

Its very annoying - I was not notified about the deletion - I was awaiting an updates.

I was going to post that after the upgrade Tuxtype is good again. I was going to mark it as solved...

It was taken away from me... My own... My precious!

Don't you cry ! Here is your precious !

We didn't need your thread about broken package, Aradalf was already aware that his new packages had to be redone. I had told him by pm,  because I tested them immediatly as he had just done them and sent them to repos.

Go peacefully and may the force be with you !!

Funny. It works from the menu for me. ??? I put both images in /usr/share/pixmaps, since that's where they used to go, and I checked, they are there. I guess they're supposed to go to /usr/share/gamine/, though. So should I patch the source code to look for them in /usr/share/pixmaps, or should I put the images in /usr/share/gamine instead?

I'd just throw them in /usr/share/gamine since that's where it's looking(it works). No need to make it overly complicated  ;)

Okay, I threw them in /usr/share/gamine. I also kept a copy of gamine.png in /usr/share/icons for the .desktop file. Tested it, and it works perfectly. :D Sending it up to the SRPMS folder now.
