Good Day,
Referencing back to the original post, I recently down loaded the FM version and had to go through the fix up process. I would like have a fully functioning, upgradable download, ready to burn, in the future, and would like to know when ( and where from)  it will be safe to do another download. TIA
Best,
Rob

Guess what, I would like a lot of things too...  ;D
For the next two weeks I have zero time cause I have several business trips to do  ::)
The next FullMonty will include some major updates which are being finalized these days. Once they work stable and I will have time to set up all the way it should be, then you will see the original post updated with the relevant info. Tentatively in 3 weeks from now.

P,
Thanks for all the hard work you do, I'd like to be able to spread it around to folks less, and that isn't much, knowledgeable than myself.
Best,
Rob

With filelight installed Firefox4 and Seamonky opened filelight instead of Dolphin.
Chromium opened Konqueror instead of Dolphin.
With filelight not installed Firefox4 and Seamonky opened Konquerer instead of Dolphin.
Chromium opened Konqueror instead of Dolphin.

The new Google Earth is in another container/map now, so you have to copy the new settings to the desktop icon props.

/opt/google/earth/free/google-earth %f

Finally found a nice solution to have desktop 1 showing upon login: open a terminal as normal user and copy/paste/enter the following command:
Code: [Select]
echo "wmctrl -s 0" >> ~/.kde4/Autostart/noblank.shthen logout/login and it should work.

starting with FullMonty 2011.04 edition you can now set/choose one of the 6 FM virtual desktops to show upon login, just run fm_setwidgets (right container on desktop 6).

Hi Everyone
I have been using PCLinux for a few yrs now but I'm still a newbie when it comes to terminal and code/commands. I have just installed FM the latest version onto my desktop and I have no sound at all, it worked b4 with the 2010-12 KDE version. My sound is an onboard soundcard, It's a Via technologies. Also I have a Nvidia geforce 6100 which used to work with 3d graphics in the 2010-12 KDE version and now with FM it says my ncard doesn't support 3D graphics.
I have also installed in the latest version of Virtual Box on my dual core laptop in windows 7 and same problem with desktop no sound at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your hard work and efforts Pinoc and Texstar :D

Hi tony1ant,

welcome to the forum!
- The sound should work, most likely the volume is too low or the wrong channel is selected: please click on the sound symbol on the right half of the bottom panel, then click the Mixer tab and in the new window make sure that both Master and PCM are full up. Alternatively you can run PCmenu -> Sound -> AlsaMixerGUI
- Nvidia 6100: some cards have some problems with the current Nvidia driver, there will be a new Nvidia driver out soon in Synaptic which should solve this issue. Please make sure to update your system and watch out for the new updated NVidia driver  (260.19 -> 270.41)
hope this helps, good luck!

In the mixer channel settings add all from left to the right and put those sliders up.
Testing ;)

Hi
I managed to get my sound card working on my desktop. I ran the Synaptic updates and then it started working after a reboot, but I don't have 5.1 surround on it. I suppose that is called Pulse Audio? I've enabled Pulse Audio but still only have stereo :(.

Another problem me being a newbie I messed up the multimedia screen by accidentally deleting the Video folder by closing it, after resizing. How do I restore the desktop to it's default views ?  ???
Thank You  in advance :)
