change console resolution

Hi, is it possible to change the resolution of the console, boot menu and splash screen to 1400x1050?

First of all
boot menu            GRUB background, graphical login manager, ...?
console                tty1 etc, or...?
splash screen        plymouth splash screen (from Grub to login screen), or KDE Splash screen (I assume here you're using KDE, you didn't mention; from login screen to KDE desktop)

If we know better what you mean, we can probably help you changing some of the resolutions

I wish to change the display resolution of grub boot menu, the cli and the pclinuxos splash screen (not gui resolution).
