[solved] does VMWare take up root or home harddrive space?
« on: January 29, 2011, 12:20:38 AM »
I was wondering if VMWare player installs your other OS to root or home?
I only made my root installation around 10GB and dont think i really have space for it if it installs to root.

sorry if this is a noob question its all very new to me and google gave nothing useful

You can have your "other OS" anywhere you wish to keep it.

For instance I have mine in a separate partition on another drive.

hope this helps.
There is always a way

I think by default, VM uses the space you give it in your "virtual drive" located in your /home directory.
I am frequently wrong however.  ;)
