[SOLVED]PCLOS Gnome can't open a pdf doc

I had the default Gnome pdf viewer,but sometimes it didn't open the doc,so I loaded adode viewer,it did work ,but still today,I can't open a doc from a bank statement.What else do I need?




I did a mozilla test for adobe reader it says I don't have it

Try saving the PDF and see if it will open with Gnome's Evince PDF document viewer. In your browser (Firefox?) right-click the link to the PDF and choose Save Link As.

Does your bank recommend a particular way to view their documents? They may have some strange notion that you have to view your stuff with some version of Internet Explorer  ::)

foxit reader is good too

adobe last time i used messed up system, killed mime type for pdf files and made other damages so i never used it again on linux

if possible always download the file, don't open it on the browser

I uninstalled adobe viewer,evince  and did open the doc.I'll have to just forget about docs that won't open with adobe viewer exclusively.Thanks all.

no, you can still use adobe viewer but try not to use it integrated with the browser, it only integrates well with internet explorer ...   :-X

always if possible download the file and then read it locally
