Stopping www.google-analytics.com (solved)

I have just been investigating browsing speed and noticed that firefox is freezing for a few seconds in this URL.
I have looked it up on the web and it is not needed and there is a way of stopping it that applies to windows.
What do we have to do to turn this option off and make the web faster???

If I understand you correctly
You can go to FireFox Add ons (Tools>add-ons) and search for and install Ghostery
It blocks all kinds of tracking cookies.

I have improved the speed by adding it to the adblock filter in control center and it still flashes in the URL but without the delay from the slow tracking server.
We are on the way to a solution...

You could maybe get additional speed by going into the
Ghostery>Options>performance

Gostery has fixed it and i will leave the notification on for a fiew days to make sure it keeps on working...
