Other iso/kernel combos available?

Hello,

Knowing that the published ISO's use the .bfs kernel and reading some other topics regarding kernel versions, the following for example...

I was wondering if there are any "respins" or other iso's available (2010.xx, that is) that have the 'vanilla' kernel as part of the image in lieu of the default bfs kernel?

As far as I know, all the various releases use some version of the bsf kernel as the default installation kernel. As stated in the link you posted, any of the other kernels can be installed once the installation is complete, and if you find one that works better with your specific hardware, you can make it the default choice for your system. Any remasters you make after that will use the kernel your system uses as its default kernel.

Sorry, I should've explained my need a little clearer, I was hoping to get a live CD or USB from an existing ISO since the bfs kernel does not appear to boot on this one machine I'm trying to set up. So, being lazy ,  I was wondering if anyone else already has an ISO setup for this.  I have a few machines I've set up with PCLOS (but not at my disposal) and will help maintain.  I'd like this one to also be a similar configuration, vs another distro.

Fortunately, my work laptop (WinXP) gives me enough privilege to install and run VBox, so I could do as you, and the other threads suggest, configure and use MyLiveCD in a virtual machine, correct?
