crash/dump package for PCLinuxOS?
« on: January 05, 2011, 08:15:32 PM »
PCLinuxOS does not crash much, of course, but when it does, it might be nice to be able to get a kernel backtrace to get some idea of the source of the problem.  That can narrow it down (v. endless googling) when trying to find a solution.

I thought I was using the kcrash package with a slightly earlier version of PCLinuxOS, but I could well be mistaken.  If there is such a package, where would I find it?  I don't see anything in the repositories.

[Edited:  Needless to say, this is not a high priority.  Just a nice-to-have at some point.]

a keen desire will lead to sourceforge.net, there to peruse the offerings and maybe get lucky.

if getlucky = Y, then goto package suggest and read rules prior to posting.

good luck.
