Screensaver

I have gnome Screen saver installed. I've selected a screen saver but it doesn't come up.  I don't see an"Apply" or "OK" button in the screen saver interface.

Screen savers don't come up.

Anything else I need to do?

Strange... Any screenshot of the window?

It is possible the lower part of the window is out of screen. You could move up the window when not maximised by holding Alt and dragging it with the left mouse button pressed.

gnome screensaver interfers with xscreensaver ... uninstall it ... your screensavers should work fine then

Okay, I'll give that a go.  But then, screensavers in Gnome won't work.  Hmmm...I have Gnome DE, but not really a big Gnome user.  So, I guess it's okay.

Well,  all this DE talk got me to looking at Gnome again. I like it, too. I'll just leave things as they are.  But, I'll file away the Gnome screensaver tip.

If I do get a netbook, it's gonna have a large HD, cuz I'm putting all the DEs on it.
