Each time i start the computer, there is a conflict between eth0 and ppp0 (PPPoE), so i have to delete the eth0 connection and restart ppp0 to be able to connect (ppp0). I would like the OS to remember it, because it's not really convenient to have to configure it at every boot.

Thank you for your help.

Do you have one or two connections?
Are you connected to a router?

Have you considered setting up the router to connect to your provider using PPoE and then connect the PC to the router?

Maybe some info about your devices and connections would give a better idea ......

I just have one connection, PPPoE. Since it's through ethernet (and ethernet often doesn't require login and password), PCLINUX OS first displays the ethernet connection.

I'm not connected to a router, as far as i know.

My Ethernet card is VIA Rhine II.

I don't know if i answer correctly to your questions. If i need to give other information, please ask.

Thank you.

Sorry to be asking so many questions -- I just wish to be sure I know how you are set up with physical devices.

Your PC has a VIA ethernet card in it.

That card had a cat5 cable connecting it to ......  what device?

Is it possible that you have a second - maybe old NIC - in the PC ....  maybe on board ......  that has not been disabled in BIOS?

If you browse the hardware list through PCC (configure your computer) and look at the entries under Ethernet .....  is there one or two .......  can you post details of those please.

regards.
