How to get the Volume and Mute buttons to work <<<SOLVED>>>>>

ANyone have any info on how to get the Volume and Mute buttons to work while running the LXDE version of PCLinux?? I am using a Compaq pressario V5000 laptop

Found a APP in Synaptic called Multimedia Keys and it lets you program the extra keys  that you need.

I didn't find the app Multimedia Keys, but I did find the"hotkeys" app which look like it does the same thing.

Is that the one you are using?

yeah using the MultiMedia Keys now I just gotta get it configured to load at startup. maybe I'll check out hotheys
