Just ordered a new Eee PC 1015PEM-PU17-BU(
Right here!) for basic computing needs. It has quite good battery life(13 hours!), and actually has a dual-core processor! It's a little more expensive than standard netbooks(around $370), but also has the computing power to support it. I'm planning on getting some additional ram(2 GB) for this little sucker, but currently deciding what exactly to get, as reviews state that this netbook is very finicky with some memory. The screen's a 10.1 inch, but the resolutions a little low(1024x600). It comes with Windoze 7 Starter, so planning on adding PCLinuxOS. One question I have is will PCLOS work well on this hardware? I know I should have asked before ordering, but it only came to my mind just now. I know many users of this forum currently use eeePCs to run PCLOS, and I also know Asus used to sell some eeePCs with Linux pre-installed(do they still do this???), but I still thought it would be safe to ask.

Also, what do you guys think. How is the netbook? Is it underpowered for the price? There's a eeePC 1025N(
over here) for $100 more, half the battery life, NVidia ION and Optimus(instead of an Intel GMA), and a 1.8 GHz processor instead of the 1.5 GHz processor this one has. Should I have gotten that one instead?
