After update, no remote XDMCP
« on: December 29, 2010, 11:24:47 PM »
There may have been a security update of some kind in the last few months to the configuration files of Xdm/Kdm. I used to enable XDMCP by editing kdmrc and setting "Enable=true". Now that the "easy" no longer works, could someone help me re-enable remote XDMCP login?  All the how-to's I have found are either too cryptic, broad or involve Windows.

I am simply trying to use a cheap laptop to control my desktop and file server from around the house.  I have ssh set up, but there is only so much I can do from the CLI.

Let me know what files you need to see so I can post them (I didn't post any to save space in the first post).
