KDE Minime missing kdenetwork4 package
« on: December 29, 2010, 07:54:31 AM »
Happy holiday!!!  8)  8)

Well, I installed KDE minime on my netbook. After finishing all the processes, I would like to connect my wireless USB modem to the internet. This is only the way I have to surf the web. No wired connection.

As minime is not coming with KPPP, then I tried to connect through PCC - Network & Internet - Set Up a new network interface ...
But in the middle of the step, it requires to install kdenetwork4. And of course it will fail to install. Then I keep continuing the process. A bit worried it was if I could not get connected.

But wow ... It was connected!!! Cool ...  ;D  ;D  ;D
I was so happy.

Lastly, what about having KPPP pre-installed on minime? Or fixed kdenetwork4 package issue.
I am sure that this package will very useful for those who has no wired connection.

I thought the minime version was the minimum necessary to get a computer up and running on KDE, network and other peripheral stuff you want/need has to be added.  And apparently you succeeded with it.
If it ain't broke, DON'T fix it!  If ya cain't fix it, ya gotta stand it.  If ya cain't stand it..............Visit the forum and search.
