2010.x sound <Fixed>
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:31:02 AM »
hi to all,
How  can I get rid of 'pulseaudio'????
That is without removing everything useful!!!
It stops the audio system from working.
I started out at 2010.07 and upgraded the system. On the install sound worked but after after the update the audio driver was changed from intel to pulseaudio. There was then no sound at all.
Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

PCLinuxOS does not ship with pulse audio enabled by default nor upgrading from Synaptic will enable it. To enable pulse audio onr has to install additional packages and enable it in the PCLinuxOS Control Center.

Here is a thread on how to properly enable and/or disable pulse audio on PCLinuxOS.
