I have a Sony Viao VPCF111FD. Everything works with 2010.09 except the screen brightness (Fn keys or power control). The video card is an nvidia 320M and I'm running nvidia-current.
I've done a wealth of searching and, after some xorg.conf editing and downloading a couple of shell scripts, I finally have the brightness controls working. But...
After any restart of the X server (sleep, hibernate, logout), the backlight turns off and won't come back on.
Does anyone else have a similar Sony, or a similar problem, or best of all...
A solution?
