VMWare and E17
« on: December 29, 2010, 08:42:01 PM »
I am currently running Vmware 7.2 and have installed PcLinuxOS as a virtual machine together with the LXDE, Gnome, Xfce and E17 DE's. I also have a separate version of E17 running as a virtual machine. I have the latest Vmware Guest additions installed in the virtual machines. The host machine is a Win 7 64bit with 8GB ram. Now to my problem:

All virtual machines that I have installed with the exception of E17, not confined to the PcLinuxos E17 version I might add, behave correctly in that the screen resolution automatically adjusts to the size of the window it is in or to the full screen when full screen is invoked. E17 however stays only at the resolution that is set for it, I had assumed that it was a quirk of E17 and that I'd better learn to live with it. However a post here alerted me to the fact that there was another E17 version called BodhiLinux and I decided that I should take a look at it. Surprise, surprise, when I installed it as a virtual machine and loaded the guest additions it automatically adjusted the screen just like all the other DE's. Are there any E17 guru's here that have any idea why E17 seems to behave a little differently to the other desktop environments.
