Monitor shuts while booting from Live-CD.
« on: December 23, 2010, 05:28:16 AM »
Hi.

I installed the latest PClinuxOS KDE version but I can't get it to boot since after I click the "Live CD" option" the monitor shuts itself up. Then I downloaded the Gnome version to see if there is anything common. And the same thing persists.

I then installed in Virtualbox and it works great there. What should I try to do?

Try the VESA boot option.

The reason it works in VBox is that VBox uses its own graphics drivers, and probably whatever graphics card you have isn't supported on the LiveCD.
