Yeah, I was using JDownloader this occurred (happened to me weeks ago actually), but I got tired of stuffing around with it, and simply grabbed another app to get things. I assumed I'd changed a setting somewhere I shouldn't have, but if it's not just me, then might be something more to it.

The problem should be solved with the current version of Java. (I read somewhere)

had the same problem in the German forum. The guy, with the problem installed java from the project side and he hadn't trouble anymore. that's why i started the thread for updating

can't replicate on the netbook, desktop pc or in windows

all of them updated systems with updated jdownloader and updated java

would be good to have more information on the error

can this app be called from konsole to see errors?

1.The error occurred after a reboot (or after some reboot)
2. splash-screen gray (must be xmas)
3 main window also gray (or sometimes normal)

konsole output

No "error" as such, the outline/image of the app simply shows as "greyed out", rendering it quite useless. I've launched from terminal before to check also, and no "error" appeared, but things just "failed" (by which I mean were all grey and useless).

As for other apps, I've used Tucan, and some others (can't recall the names right now, not at the main machine), which are ok, but no where near as versatile and usable as this one (when it's co-operating and working properly anyway).

updated yesterday both netbook and desktop, can't replicate

i see the new java packages right now, from 1.6.0.22 to 1.6.0.23

jdownloader has a config folder in /home/thenameofyouruser/.jd

has anyone tried deleting the config files?  or at least rename them, don't delete captchas!

I deleted configs and updated before, and it was fine for a brief while, then went retarded again. Will try again later, in the middle of doing updates on several machines.
