Cannot move, resize, or delete Folder Views in Full Monty
« on: December 16, 2010, 02:04:01 PM »
I installed PCLOS 2010 Full Monty yesterday and am very impressed. So, of course I had to push all the shiny buttons and break things. I did manage to find and successfully use the utility that lets us restore the default desktops; but, I still have 2 issues:

1. I managed to permanently lose the Add Widgets item in the Cashew's main menu, from the desktop's context menu, and from the default panel's Tool Box. The only way I can add widgets now is by creating a new panel and using the cashew for that panel.

2. Like the title of this post says, I cannot move, resize, or delete the default Folder Views on my desktops. I just want to eliminate some of this clutter, and change the contents of the folder that I do plan to keep. I did empty one container of all its icons, to see if that would let me delete or move it, but no luck. I got rid of them in my Pardus and Mandriva installs by changing from Folder View to Classic Desktop, but that option seems to be greyed out in PCLOS. In my other installs, I just use a second panel as an icon container.

I know I can start over by deleting my plasma configuration files, but that's a bit drastic. If there is an easer way to recover from this, I'm open for suggestions.
