I think this might be tough. I have a lexmark 6650 all in one wireless printer I have downloaded the rpm package found at lexmark and installed this the printer works fine on the usb cable How would one go about setting  it up to print wirelessly on my wireless network       I am using pc linux os gnome 2010

I don't know how it works for Lexmark...

For my HP printer/scanner, I go through PCC and manually set up using the printer IP address.  hplip does the rest automatically once the printer is detected.

I also have a Brother multi-function center (printer/scanner/fax) that has downloadable drivers for Linux.  Basically the same approach except it's all command line driven.

Both printers are set up with static IP addresses so that there are no issues with the IP addresses changing as a result of dynamic addressing.

I have printing and scanning working on both. Don't use fax...
