I have a Lenovo G550 that connects wirelessly to a Linksys WRT120N. The router firmware was recently updated. When I turn on the router and boot the computer, the initial connection occurs promptly. If I close the laptop without turning it off, it goes to sleep and the connection is broken. When I wake it up, the re-connect time seems very long; over a minute. The router is usually just across the room from the computer. Also, the connection monitor I have in the Panel indicates that the signal strength is only 39%. Is this normal? Or, is there a problem in the router or computer, or both? Any suggestions?
Thanks

I posted the above on the Cisco Community forum. Someone there suggested that there might be a power management setting for the wireless adapter relative to the suspend or sleep mode. I looked in the control center and system admin power management and could find nothing specifically for the adapter. First: could this be a factor? Second: If so, how do I make some adjustments? Third: Maybe this (1 to 1 1/2 minutes) is normal and I shouldn't do anything?
Thanks
