Opera in Phoenix Mini
« on: December 03, 2010, 07:44:43 PM »
I installed Phoenix a couple of days ago and had added a couple of KDE apps that I liked then decided I didn't want huge upgrades so installed freshly.

I read here that Opera is recommended:

and duly began downloading.  When it was still downloading some time later I looked at dependencies and saw some kde things being downloaded.  I then uninstalled Opera and have added Firefox instead, which took all of a few minutes.  I'd use Midori but even with cookies enabled Facebook won't load.

Anyway - my two cents worth - Opera is not light on kde depencies it seems.  Just my experience.

Where I'm at now - a fresh install of Mini - installed Opera then ininstalled it, would that take out the dependencies?  Installed Firefox.  Does that leave it reasonably pure?

I am happy to do a fresh install as would like to try it "pure", the only issue is Midora and facebook, which seems odd to me.
