Unsuccessful MyLiveCD
« on: December 01, 2010, 07:54:13 AM »
Hi friends

After following all the right instructions about making mylivecd, i got as response

chmod: cannot access `/tmp/myd/livecd.sqfs': No such file or directory===================================
DIE
FATAL: Execution of 'chmod 644 /tmp/mylivecd.16633/livecd/livecd.sqfs' failed

would be happy to hear what was the problem, why didn't work.

Hi lobster.

More than likely:

a) You ran out of space on Your partition where iso was supposed to be saved or
b) Your iso came out bigger than 4.3 GB

Search term I have used:

Code: [Select]
FATAL: Execution of 'chmod 644
1) This thread is marked as solved.

2) Here is a pinned thread by Neal who explains many interesting aspects of remastering.

There were several other results. These two were the most interesting in my honest opinion but You can find and read all of them.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Andy

lobster, try running mylivecd logged on as root and see what happens. I had a similar problem on the qt based e17 version and that was how I got around it.
