From PCLinuxOS OB Bonsai to Edu : RC1 is available

Hi,

I did a first remaster with a few edu packages, to give it a try. We have the Edu project intiated by Crow at mypclinuxos.com : Educative Software

I will upload a RC1 now, it will be available tomorrow. I hope it works fine. I don't have time to test it at all this time, all I know is it has a good size : 405 MB.

Crow, if you see this post, and if you have a little time available, it would be nice if you continue building on it, so and make a RC2. A new theme would also be a good thing to ask.

At the moment, there is a handful of Education programs, and also added alsa-utils, Thunar, had to tweak the Thunar menus to make them talkative... and put pcmanfm's menu out of the way.

All are welcom to give it a try.

Hi,

I am preparing a RC2, including lots of packages Crow knows of and has tested, and several new packages made by Textar for some, and by Ertain for one. Thanks a lot for theses packages !

Okawix, Scratch, are among them.

Now I meet with a small issue, but an issue anyway. I can't get some icons to be displayed. I have added one "libpng-devel" package, as I saw it in my main install, a Openbox full. I can say Scratch has a nice cat head gartoonish style icon in my main machine, and in the RC1 it has only a plain white rectangle.

I checked the icon set : the icons "scratch.png" are the same in both, I checked the desktop files : they are the same.

I uninstalled Scratch from RC1, checked that all file had been removed, installed the Scratch Fedora rpm package from the program website, as I had done for myself before it was packaged, but the result is the same. The nice cat icon doesn't show.

I also have a "m3u" file I got on the website of a web radio, and it's icon is also plain white.

So, if anyone can try to help find out what the problem comes from, that would be very nice.

Pff. Had an idea. Uninstalled and reinstalled Gartoon-Redux-icon-theme, and also,
