Got a new machine this Friday and have installed PCLOS 2010.11. I copied over my entire home directory and most things seem to be working OK, though there are a few small differences I am chasing down.
One is the updating the Launcher menu/Kmenu. When I add new applications with synaptic, the applications are not showing up in the menus until I either logout or reboot (I've not confirmed which). In my other install on my previous machines, I do not remember this problem.
Any pointers would be appreciated. It's not a major issue but a niggledy one. I suspect it may be a permissions problem related to the fact that I copied over my entire home directory (including hidden files) and found that some of the group assignments did not come across properly.
