I played around a bit with Xandros' PrestoMyPC, a quick-booting and quick-closing minimized system that would provide access to openoffice and firefox and pidgin, while being able to access all of the files on the hard drive that had been set up by Windows. Much to my disappointment, I went to buy and activate the software, and PrestoMyPC is no longer sold.
Since I use PCLinux on my desktop and have been so pleased with it, I was wondering if there was a way to set up a small version of it and tweak it in a way that it would be similar to what PrestoMyPC was designed to be. I've been using Linux for quite a while but have not had much experience with dual boot systems except when I tested Xandros years ago. Now all of my business computers are Linux only except for this one notebook that came with Windows 7, which I would like to retain on that computer and convert it to the dual boot format I would have had with Presto.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
