[SOLVED] Addlocale does not work on fresh & updated installation
« on: November 21, 2010, 09:39:06 AM »
Hi all!

When I run addlocale on my freshly installed system, I get the error: "The download of the translation archive is incomplete."
I updated the system after the installation, but the problem remains. I try to install the dutch language.

Any suggestions?

Which version do you use? KDE, Gnome, Xfce, LXDE, ...? Please first fully update your system, then reboot, and then run addlocale (OpenOffice Manager). Just tested to add Dutch in KDE and it works fine.
good luck,

The problem is solved.
I had to reset the locales to default English and the back to Dutch to make it work.

No idea why it did not work the first time.

Thanks for the quick reaction!
