Have realtek alac888c onboard sound.Can not get it working.Any help?

are you on kde or gnome?

what kernel do you have?

check the audio levels, could be muted?

i found other posts in the forum with alc888 but nothing specific

Looks like I my have to get a Sound Card.What would be a low cost Card ? I'm not into Music or Video.Just the internet

Gave up.I put a PCI sound card in.I checked other Forums other people having the same problem.Linux does not like realtek alc888 card.

it seems that you are right

but there should be something that could be done, maybe blacklist something or change driver

fortunately you could install another sound card  :)
