(Solved) E-17 Light windowshade?
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:37:52 PM »
I don't know if this is normal or not. when I dbl-click a window titlebar it raises and lowers as it's suppose to, but if I right click on it and choose raise or lower, nothing happens. maybe it's a setting I don't know about?

and I play with every version of PCLOS so I don't remember if it was ever there or not in the E-17 light version but, Synaptic is not showing in my menu under Main/Applications/Software Center. I do know it's there under other flavors.

thanks

The rollup effect on double click is called window shading.
Raising and lowering are used to control windows stacking.

For example put 2 small windows (pcmanfm or ...) on your desktop and put a maximized window in front of it, now choose lower for the maxed window and the other 2 will come above it.

The windows you raise keep above the ones you lowered even when focussing the lowered windows.
e is a geeky window manager, it even does tiling.  :)
