{SOLVED} HD mount
« on: November 16, 2010, 11:28:44 AM »
I have installed a 2nd HD for sharing purposes. The drive is an extended partition formatted with EXT4 using GParted.

For some reason I am unable to mount this volume with the error listed below:

mount_point cannot contain the following characters: newline G_DIR_SEPERATOR (usually /)

I have also noticed that if I log on under the root, the drive is mountable.  I then can mount it under my user after logging out of root.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Searching on the error message brings up a lot of hits in Google. Here's one: http://howtoxyz.blogspot.com/2008/07/how-to-mountpoint-cannot-contain.html

Any help?
