Hi,

Desktop files are very easy to translate to all languages. All it takes is add a line for "Name" and a line for "Comment", this way:
in the file you have:
Name=My Documents

in a line after you will add:
Name[fr]=Mes Documents

or for german:
Name[de]=Minen Document // sorry if it is wrong, I'm not too keen in German, just know 5 or 6 words.

But you get the picture.

Then for Comment:
Comment=Open File Manager in your Home
becomes:
Comment[fr]=Ouvrez le gestionnaire de fichiers dans votre Home

the same way, add a line for each, for your native language and next it will be a good idea to suggest to add it to a next new package.

Here is the full desktop file for home, to have on /home/user/Desktop directories:

I have seen it a little after you have gone there. It's nice you and Leiche have added your lines. It would be nice if the people from other countries would also do so.

Is there any place on the forum that they will see, where to tell them "hey come see here for quick participation !" ?

Asking it in the different language sections of the USA-forum (maybe even on other PCLinuxOS-sites worldwide)....

I'm asking it on the sections Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Scandinavian....

And maybe say it somewhere in the SandBox, when it fits 'a little bit'  (you can't do that much wrong in the sandbox)

Hope there isn't too many overload by it
(I myself got the message: "your IP posted shorter than 20 seconds ago, please try later again..." - or something like that when I wanted to post the latest one on Scandinavian...)
So waited a little bit, and tried again - now on all needed languages sections, they have a message from me 

PS: now I think about it, maybe I better had sent a personal message to the moderators, if they exist, from the language section (I assume they are capable of speaking the language of their board, but yeah... too late now

Where are you all doing this adding? Is there some repository that you are sending this to? I ask because I have added Luganda to the desktop icons on my LXDE installation and it would be nice if there is somewhere to pass this up to.

Hi,

The place to pass it up is in this very forum. When we think it will be the most all can provide, we will wait and see and if after 2 days no one moves, we will go to the software section suggest that someone in charge takes hold of the files and keep them to be added to next version package.

If you translate, put a tag [-T-] at the beginning of the subject, if you are a packager asking for a translation, put the same tag with 'P' instead of 'T'.
