Zen-Mini rocks
« on: November 09, 2010, 04:40:34 PM »
Just installed it on my lappy this weekend, after I totally borked Gnome, and couldn't get it back.
I like the idea of a stripped down Gnome that I can build on.

Actually I have to give a big thanks to you.
Reading all your raving posts about Zen Mini, convinced me to finally try it out for myself.

siamer has done a great job with it, it gives you just enough to get started, and you add what you want from there.  :)
There is no shame in saying "I don't know".

Just did a fresh load of the new iso a couple days ago, it's even better than the last version, I need to update my install on the "what programs have you loaded in your PCLOS mini?" thread. Siamer added Bleachbit on the new one, a program I heartily applaud, also added Gcalctool, a simple calculator, this I also like, as a calculator is more of a utility to me and so I really consider it part of the basic infrastructure. :)
