Using SU versus SU -
« on: November 08, 2010, 11:37:13 AM »
After having spent a couple of hours wondering why MYLIVECD wasn't putting my .ISO in the Home folder:

I opened Dolphin in SU mode and found the .ISO in the /ROOT/Home folder.

Then it occurred to me.  I was running MYLIVECD ater opening a Root session with su -  Duh!.. back to LINUX 101.

Just a reminder to become superuser with su  and not su - if you want YOUR home folder available and not the /ROOT home folder.
